I followed the advice of other reviewers here and on zappos vip, and I ordered a half size larger then my usual shoe size(a 9 1/2); I am really glad I did. The boots are narrow, and the 9 1/2 is pleasantly snug without being pinchy; I am sure they will break in well. I compared them to an older pair of Frye boots that I have and they were a smidge longer(pointier toe!), but not noticeably bigger. I reduced a star because the top shaft of the boot is really much softer(to the point of being almost floppy) then a usual cowboy boot. I like it when the boot is stiff and creaky when new, and then softens up with age. That said, these were a nice purchase for the money. They will be ideal for cooler weather when I want to wear cowboy boots with thicker socks!Fit: I wear these in 6.5 and my size in women's footwear ranges from 6-7.5 with narrow feet. I order them intentionally snug because I want them to mold to my feet. With western boots I always get them soaking wet and walk them dry in thicker socks to expedite the molding process. A proper, not too loose, fit is important to me because I dance so much in them.Durability: I am only reordering these because my first pair was so loved I finally scuffed a small hole in the leather of a toe. I just don't want to be without them. I have danced frequently in them over three years. I did resole them once before this recent small toe hole. The leather outlasted the sole by a fair margin and the first pair is still plenty wearable. I do occasionally condition them. I've used my face cream as well as lexol to condition them. The product received is comparable to my first pair.I just received these yesterday, and I am so bummed out. They are at least one size too big! I wear an 8.5, and my feet are swimming in these babies. The boots are nice quality and very sharp. I'm surprised by the fitting issue, because I own another pair of Laredo boots (I'm wearing them as I type this), and they fit perfectly. I held the soles of the two boots together to compare, and the Providence boot is about an inch longer. A bummer, I'll have to return them.LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these boots. I love the look and the feel of these boots. They have a nice arch in them unlike most women's boots. I love the color, they're comfortable which I really worried about, I thought they would be uncomfortable and stiff for a while. Also I bought a half size larger because boots seem to run a little smaller. I can't say enough good things about these boots. Oh I do have 1 little complaint, I wish I could have found these with a more rounded toe, they have a very pointed toe (flat at the end of the point) but that is a cowboy boot right. The pointed toe didn't bother me that much or I would have given them 4 stars. I really do love these boots!!!!good product however the shoe fit way to tight across the vamp. I had to bring them to a boot stretcher as well as work them with lots of conditioner and boot stretch spray. a year later they are still tight! def recommend a half a size bigger then usual boot sizeI bought these Laredo boots for my daughter because I have a pair of Laredo boots. My daughter has a pretty narrow size 9 foot, so I ordered a 9.5 just to be safe. When we got them the inside of the boot is not very well made nor is it comfortable. The boot itself is extremely small and narrow. I believe she would have worn an 11 or 11.5 in this boot. I was not impressed. Also, this seller is also not a shipping friendly company. I had to pay shipping to get them and pay to return them. I will not order from this seller again. Again... not impressed. This boot runs 2 sizes too small, very narrow and did not arrive in the color shown here. The part I was able to get my foot in revealed a very stiff boot floor with no padding or support. I am very disappointed, as I was so excited to get this boot. Maybe I need to consider spending more to get a more comfortable boot.I have a wide foot and they didn't really fit well. If you get these and you have a wide door get one size up from normal but other than that . I love them!
